Resolved: Misinformation on products and service

When i purchased 4 brand new tires in Oct. 2022, I was told that I can avail free tire rotation every 3000 miles or every time I go for oil changed.

I even open a charged catd at that time. My family have been a customer since 2000. This is a big disappointment to be misinformed. The manager of the location that I dealt with today pull the paper work when I purchased the tires and told me that I did not purchase the " road hazard".

I don't beluwve tire tlrotation is under road hazard. I could have gone to Sams or Walmart to purchased my tires( cheaper) if I was not told that about the free tire rotation.

Hooefully you can honor this . Losing my family's patronge of uour business is no big deal I assume, who are we anyway compared to your giant business...

I am not bringing this complaint just to get a free service. I am bringing this up because I feel like there was a deception when you offered customers your products and services...

Absolute crooks!!! I went in for a safety inspection for my Corvette and failed due to 'license plate lamp - operation'.

The explanation was 'No front license plate'. The inspector, Scotty Russell, literally failed me for license plate lamp-operation. There isn't even a license plate lamp on the front of vehicles. To make matters worse, the technician who originally approached me didn't even have a front license plate on her own car.

Therefore, she couldn't have rejected the inspection. Instead, they waited until I paid before I was told I failed.

Section 4 on the DPS website only lists License plate lamp (1) as an item.

I have had the car inspected many times and never failed an inspection due to a front license plate. Yet, they call themselves '10 minute oil change of the Woodlands'. The Woodlands is full of cars without front license plates.

So, if you own one... do not take your car here.

Unless you want Scotty Russell to fail you and have them take your money so that you can go down the road and pay for an inspection all over again.

The manager is Fransico, who said he couldn't give out the area manager's number. Hopefully, their corporate office can explain how I failed for License Plate Lamp - Operation.

Lack of customer service at store and corporate level

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Had two custom wheels damaged while the store in Covington, LA, was installing two new tires on my truck. They did not mention the damage when I picked the truck up, but luckily, I inspected before leaving the store.

When I brought the issue to the store manager, he agreed to replace the two wheels after nearly an hour of running back and forth to the truck and inside the store. I asked for the documentation of the replacement and received a business card with a statement and signature. Fast forward two months, still no wheels. I finally filed a report with the BBB, then the manager replied with a pile of lies stating that I cursed employees out, harassed the store, claiming the damage was not all from his machine, and the story goes on.

I then tried contacting the corporate customer service twice by phone (was told I would get a call). No return call, twice by the contact form (never called/emailed back). This lack of support from the corporate level is unacceptable and shows the company has no regard for the consumers who keep their doors open. I could expect the initial issue, when you have a guy trying to hold onto his job and willing to lie, cheat, and might as well say, steal to maintain his position within the company.

But to end this, the store level of customer service is in line with what I have experienced at the corporate level, little to none.

Stay far away from all Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers. You are better off taking your auto to the local Votech and letting the students work on it.

Very bad work, no mechanic knowledge.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to a shop on Covington Pike, Memphis TN, and told two employees and the manager that I wanted my car checked because it was misfiring. The manager said they would do a diagnostic check.

They pulled me into a bay, opened the hood, changed the oil, and said it would be $152.00. I told them I didn't need oil. They did the diagnostic and said it would be $655.00 to change a sensor. I agreed.

After they finished, my car sounded worse. They then said I needed plugs and coils, with an estimated cost of $309.00. I came by the next day, and their estimate for plugs, coils, and a valve cover gasket was $635.00. I agreed.

However, after the job was finished, my car was running much worse. They tried to charge me $945.00 and held my keys until we agreed on the price.

Please, don't use these people. They are crooks and can't fix your vehicle.

We can’t do any oil change because we change your air filter!???

I went to this location after work today for an oil change. I was asked if I had been to the location before.

I said no. I pulled into the bay and popped my hood. The tech came to my window and said. I checked with my manager and we are out of air filters for your car so we cant do your oil change.

I said thats fine I dont need a new oil filter I just need an oil change. I was advised that its your policy that you have to change the oil filter if you change the oil. Ive been getting my oil change for decades and have never heard this rule.

Then he said to me you might want to take it to the dealership. Its a Ford Edge!

Did not repair my car just wanted money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a new car and went here because there was a noise coming from the front of the car which we told them that it might be the suspension. They made me replace a bunch of parts including struts spending over $2000 but the noise is there instead it has gotten worse.

They replaced the belt now there is a screeching sound. Now they claim they know whats wrong after us leaving the car there for the whole day and want to charge over $800 to replace parts, handle arm, brushing, and suspension. They never really did a check up and inspection of the car to know whats wrong with it they just want to make money!

I just bought this car, it was in great condition besides the noise. If they had freaky check from the get go we wouldnt have had to go back and forth for 4 whole months.

The car wouldve been fixed. This is so discouraging!

Terrible Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I arrived to the location (Locust Grove) to see if can replace my gasket also change my engine and transmission oil at 8:30am. The employee stated yes and the wait would be approximately 3 to 4 hours.

I stated great, I would like to have this done and stated I wanted Mobile 1 synthetic oil. They started on my vehicle, change the engine oil. Then started to change my gasket, mind you its now 11am, they are still working on my engine. I asked to see why its taking so long, the employee stated to me they are waiting for the gas ring to arrived because it broken when the mechanic tried to put it back.

Now it is 1pm, still my vehicle is being worked on, I go to the employee and ask why is it taking so long, now the employee stated the piece came but it is damage so we are waiting for the dealer to bring us the piece. It is now 3:54pm, the piece arrived and the employee stated they just have to close up the engine and it will be done. Its now 5pm, I am not asking why my vehicle is not done, they stated they were going to start to change my transmission oil. I lost my mind, I stated "this entire time waiting for the piece you could of change my transmission oil.

No, do not touch my vehicle. I want my vehicle done. I have been here since 8:30am" . They finish with my vehicle at 5:50pm because they close at 6pm.

They drag to fix my vehicle so they could not work on any other vehicles. This is so unacceptable and unprofessional. Then they have the balls to come to me and say the charge is $737.72. When I look at the receipt, I notice they used Valvoline engine oil when I specify I wanted Mobile 1.

So I did not get the services I requested, lied to then was over charged.

Do not go to this place if you are requesting services that are not just an oil change. DO NOT GO!!!

I haven’t heard back

A simple visit for a break inspection turned into a nightmare. The employee got in my face and wanted to fight me.

Apparently my brakes were fine but they ended up cross threading a stud, messing up a drum, disconnecting my windshield wiper fluid and making a mess of my home/RV. I was planning an epic road trip and these idiots ruined it.

Car damaged by express oil mechanics

Mechanics tried to fix the transmission switch on my Acura but broke it and gave me my car back, saying they couldn't fix it. They broke the throttle switch, and I had to pay to get it fixed at an Acura shop at the amount of $874.

Travis said I would be reimbursed, but I have heard nothing from Travis since.

Please help. It was on 4/9/2024!

Bad experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They worked on my car and said hed credit me the $20 inspection, he never did. 2nd car he worked on, reminded him that he needed to credit me the $20 inspection fee, then he started abrasively arguing, and eventually gave in.

Then I had to go back again coz there was still a leak, and I asked if I could see the issue under the car, and the manager Mike abrasively and angrily tells me to go back in the waiting room, be more patient and trust him more. The irony

Stay away from this place, very shady and very abrasive customer service from the manager-estimator.

"No oil" and your car would not have made it to the dealer facility unless it was literally next door.
